Mya Barth

LPC

I am a master’s-level psychotherapist where my clinical experience spans residential treatment, reentry programs, school-based services, and correctional facilities. These diverse settings have shaped my ability to support youth and families navigating trauma, transitions, and systemic challenges.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where I specialized in forensic settings.

About Mya

My training allows me to see the powerful connection between the mind, body, trauma, and development. I bring this perspective into therapy to make it informative, engaging, and dynamic. Therapy with me isn’t meant to be boring—it’s a working relationship that can be both supportive and challenging. I often describe it as being one puzzle piece in your journey: together, we break things down and rebuild them into a clearer, stronger version of you.

I use evidence-based and culturally responsive interventions, combined with my lived experience and years of clinical practice, to create a safe and affirming space where children, adolescents, and young adults can heal, grow, and thrive.
